2023 was an exceptional year with over 17,000 golfers and non-golfers enjoying their vacations with Golfasian in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
2,000 entered our successful golf events in Thailand and Vietnam.
In June, the Centara World Masters in Hau Hin attracted over 450 competitors from 23 countries, becoming Asia’s largest amateur golf tournament.
In October, Golfasian won four awards at the World Golf and Travel Awards including “World’s Best Golf Tour Operator. “
In November, the company opened their new office in Vietnam and purchased five new luxury minibuses for their Vietnam offices.
Mark Siegel Managing Director at Golfasian said, “ Our 26th year has been very rewarding and since the Covid pandemic the business has bounced back and therefore I extend my thanks to all our customers and suppliers for making this a special year.”
“Welcoming 17,000 golf vacationers is a fantastic achievement and it is no easy task to manage such a large number of inbound travellers. Therefore, I congratulate our dedicated team in all our offices across SE Asia for all their hard work,” added Siegel.
2024 is already looking extraordinarily strong with over nine golf tournaments planned including the North Vietnam Classic next September, a brand-new event taking in three superb courses.
Since the return of travel for many, this has led to a surge in international travel and especially for golf vacations. As a result, it is getting harder to book a round of golf with reports that in some regions it is hard to book a tee time until late April.
Siegel said, ”Golfasian has maintained excellent relationships with many of the top courses over the past 26 years, and therefore by reserving tee time slots up to a year in advance is able to offer their customers continued golf at most clubs.”
