Allan Cuaton in New York

We caught up with New York based Allan Cuaton to find out about his US – Philippine Couples Golf Tours.

Allan told us, “I have a very high standard of organizing people having been an Air Force Officer, so I did my online research, and I came across the Golfasian’s website offering a golf tour package to Kota Kinabalu. We then booked for two flights of golfers, and with our family went to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia.”

Since then, his group has grown, and they have traveled to SE Asia once a year. Last time they took in Hua Hin and next month will head to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam followed by Bali, Indonesia in 2025.

Golfers and non-golfers hence the name Couples Golf Tour!

One of the reasons his friends from New York and New Jersey are prepared to make the effort to fly to SE Asia is they get limited access to local courses.

We sometimes go and travel to as far as New Jersey, Maryland, South Carolina, Houston Texas, Las Vegas Nevada, but we usually golf at a private resort at Eagle Rock Resort Golf and Country Club in Hazelton, Pennsylvania where most in my group owns a property.

Allen told us ,” Golfing in the States, particularly in New York is limited to the weather conditions, and therefore we can only fully enjoy golfing during summertime, often when these golf courses are fully booked. So, we have to travel out of state and it’s more stressful and expensive too. Golf this March in Vietnam is a lot more fun!”

Maybe next time Allan will take a bigger group since he has received a lot of late inquiries about these Couple Golf destinations.
