I have played this course about half a dozen times and do find it a bit tricky because of the shortness of the layout. I rarely pull out my driver on this course as a lot the time you can put it through the fairway. On this course accuracy is much more important that distance. I agree to listen to your caddy, they are excellent and will help you navigate the greens.

I found the clubhouse and locker room less than spectacular, but they serve their purpose.

JVS,

The last time I golfed at Krungthep Kreetha I only used my driver four times, and twice pulled it right over the fairway, like you mention. Krungthep Kreetha is good if you are in a rush and need to golf at a course inside the outer ring road in Bangkok.

However, if you are on a golf holiday there are better and less costly options. For example Muang Kaew Golf Club or Summit Windmill Golf Club are both about the same distance from downtown Bangkok as Krungthep Kreetha. Both golf courses occupy larger land plots, making golf less "cramped". I also prefer the golf course layouts and hole designs better.

Thanks for your comments.

I've played there a few times as I used to live very closeby. Very tight fairways indeed and often very busy. Why not give it a try though - the course is in great condition and it is good to play a course that allows you to use most of the clubs in the bag, other than driver, wedge and putter. Food in restaurant is excellent too.
